Every project is personally managed by owner Zachary Westmoreland.
Zachary is not only the person who visits your home and prepares the estimate. He remains directly involved in the planning, construction, trade coordination, communication, and completion of the work.
You get one clear point of contact from the first conversation through the final walkthrough.
No Two Homes Get the Same Plan
Your home should support the way you live.
Your deck should have room for the way you actually relax and entertain. Your kitchen should make cooking and storage easier. An addition or enclosed porch should feel like part of the house, not a structure bolted on without a plan.
We do not reuse the same layout, materials, or recommendations for every homeowner. Zachary inspects the property, learns what you want to improve, and walks you through the construction the work will actually require.
Some homeowners arrive with detailed plans and materials already chosen. Others have a few inspiration photos and a general idea. Either is a fine place to start — the goal is a finished project that fits your home, your needs, and your budget.
Zachary is the owner, estimator, project manager, and working contractor.

Work Directly With the Owner
The biggest difference between Carolina Custom Builds and a larger remodeling company is Zachary’s direct involvement. He is the owner, estimator, project manager, and working contractor.
The person who visits your home is the person responsible for completing the work. You are not handed from a salesperson to a project manager you have never met.
Zachary is normally on the jobsite and available for questions. When specialty trades are needed, he coordinates them while remaining your main point of contact — which means clear accountability from start to finish.
Communication and Punctuality
Communication and punctuality are the two qualities homeowners mention most often. Zachary would rather over-communicate than leave a customer wondering what is happening.
Reach him by phone, text, email, or in person at the jobsite. His philosophy is straightforward: if he does not know about a concern, he cannot address it.
Projects involve material decisions, scheduling changes, and unexpected existing conditions. Clear communication is what keeps you ahead of all of it.
Complete Project Coordination
Many construction and remodeling projects require more than one trade.
A kitchen may require cabinetry, flooring, drywall, plumbing, and electrical work. A bathroom may involve tile, shower construction, ventilation, lighting, and plumbing. An addition may require framing, roofing, electrical work, windows, and interior finishes.
Carolina Custom Builds manages the complete approved scope and coordinates specialty subcontractors when their expertise is needed.
You do not have to independently schedule every person involved in the project. Zachary remains responsible for overall communication and project coordination.

Zachary will ask about the project type, location, general scope, and what you want to accomplish.

Larger or more complicated projects may take longer when trade pricing, materials, drawings, or additional planning must be confirmed.
Project Planning
Once the estimate is approved, the scope, materials, scheduling, and required specialty trades are coordinated.
Construction

“Zach is great. Carolina Custom Builds is our go-to for most of our home projects. They really can do it all. Very well priced. They do the best quality work. Zach came out and installed tile in my bathroom. He uninstalled the tub, sink, and toilet to tile behind them, then replaced them without issue. This was a multiday project and he cleaned up at the end of each day and even installed the toilet back just so we can use each night while he was tiling behind it. Zach have also done a few projects for me in the past. They can do almost anything. I love his work. 6 stars if I could.”
